Parker Point Site Induction
Rio TintoThe Parker Point digital site induction is an AR app that incorporates a 1:1 scale 3D model of the Dampier site with informational videos, pop ups and full 360 videos of key locations that new employees of the Rio Tinto site are trained on.

Hancock Iron OreThe Mini Mine AR experience was a complex series of mini games that up to 9 users can play simultaneously. Users play together to earn points and gain a high score. This app was made for Hancock Iron Ore to use at RTS 2025 and was a massive success.

Reframe Your Response
Western HealthWestern Health's Reframe your Response is a fully VR violence and aggression training simulation in where the user experiences 2 different modals. 1 being from a patients perspective and the other from a nurses perspective. The project was made in Unreal Engine 5, using highly customized meta human digital characters and motion captured actors.

East Pilbara Generation Hub
Fortescue Metals GroupFortescue's East Pilbara generation hub was a large scale wind farm program that needed multiple layers of approval before it could commence. The project required Viewport staff to fly to the Pilbara and travel to multiple isolated locations via helicopter in order to record drone footage that we later camera and light matched and added rendered elements such as turbines, roads and footings to the footage.

Cultural Awareness Platform
JYACJYAC VR cultural awareness training required multiple Viewport staff to travel out to the remote community towns Punmu and Kunawarritji in order to film 360 drone footage that we would later incorporate into the wider JYAC VR app. The app helps to inform the user of how to best respect the Martu culture and land while visiting or working.

Pearse Street Townhouse Renders
HartreeWe partnered with Fremantle-based architecture firm Hartree to bring their luxury Cottesloe townhouses to life through high-end 3D rendering and architectural visualization. Building upon their precise CAD models, our team meticulously crafted hyper-realistic 3D environments using 3DS Max and the Corona render engine. By seamlessly integrating bespoke lighting, detailed material texturing, and custom real-world backplates featuring the site's iconic Norfolk pines and coastal slope, we delivered a visually stunning set of images that perfectly captures the sophisticated, opulent lifestyle of this Pearse Street development.

Taylor RobinsonWesley College needed an engaging and informative video to raise funds for a series of additions to the Perth campus. Using traditional and industry standard workflows and pipelines, we created a series of storyboard sketches to lay out our vision for the animation. We worked closely with Wesley College to make sure the end video met every need.

VR Switchgear Training
ALCOAThe ALCOA switchgear VR training simulation was made to train new employees in the proper workflow and protocols to follow when doing work on high voltage switches. The software included an analytics tracking system that registered all the choices that the trainee would make and give them a score at the end. The simulation also included a guided and unguided mode.

WoodsideWoodside hazard awareness training is a fully 3D experience in where the user is taken on a virtual tour of the plant via a series of 360 video recordings. They are then asked to identify a variety of hazards in order to test their awareness.

Meaningful Spaces
Dementia Training AustraliaDementia Training Australia (DTA) is a fully 3D immersive simulation that puts the user in the role of a resident in a care facility. The user is given some simple tasks like "find the bathroom" or "find where to get food" in 2 versions of the same building. These 2 versions show the difference between a well designed care facility and a badly designed facility.

Rio TintoThe Rio Tinto Family Day app was made as a way for Rio Tinto to continue its yearly tradition of letting families experience the mining operations at Tom Price even during the covid lockdowns. Ernst YoungThe Ernst Young level crossing removal training simulation is a 360 VR video application with interactive elements composited on top. Rio TintoThe Rio Tinto Plant to Product experience is one of several pod ride experiences Viewport has made. Users sit in a mechatronic pod ride system that tilts and rocks with the display that is enhanced with a VR headset. Users are taken on a 360 video flight over and through the Japanese plant (as well as several other locations in different experiences that we have created)

MetronetThe MetroNet YRE flyover was an ambitious CGI rendered animation that took the viewer on a journey through all the stations on the newly completed Yanchep line. The animated sequence featured large scale landscapes and multiple layers of animation in people, cars, trains, lighting and vegetation.

Austin EngineeringAustin XR was an interactive catalogue application that was shown to the public at the Las Vegas mining convention. Multiple versions of the app were launched across, Meta quest for VR, Hololens for AR, a downloadable app for mobiles and even a hologram for the Dreamoc XL2.

DPOThe Measure and Quote DPO mobile app allows users to scan a space with their phone, cut out doors, windows and fixtures and automatically get measurements for every surface and volume. There is also an ability to change the wall materials to get a sneak peek at what the future job might end up looking like.

Scandium Scale Model
Rio TintoAs part of Viewport's on-going work with the Rio Tinto Burra Scandium team and our previously delivered video, we worked with the team to create a 1:25 physical scale model of the processing plant for events and community information sessions. The model is held together with strong magnets, making assembly and disassembly easy. The model can be split in half and loaded into a custom cut pelican case for easy transport.

Blue Tribe Co | Channel 9In 2021 Viewport partnered with Channel 9 to provide content for the new tv series "Renovate or Rebuild". The project required a way for judges to inspect unique designs of properties around Australia without travelling (due to covid lockdowns). One aspect of the final delivery was to create beauty renders of each of the finished designs.

RFDS | Rio TintoThe Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) came to us to create an interactive AR app to showcase their latest Pilatus jet which had been outfitted with the latest equipment for patient transport. The app allows users to see inside the engine, cockpit and cabin. The user can also watch videos based around the captain RFDS and the aircraft itself.

A City in Flux
State Library of WAThe State Library of WA (SLWA) approached us to make a 360 VR experience that showcased the transformation of what is now the Perth CBD. The experience gives the user a birds eye view over the Perth area where they watch as the development of the city takes place. From pre-colonization through 1840 right through to 2023.

RealWear Remote Assist
Rio TintoWe took our RealWear technology out to site with Rio Tinto and helped to train staff on how they can use this emerging technology to perform maintenance on ore locomotives and carriages with thermal vision capabilities and remote streaming and call connection to the command centre back in Perth.
