Viewport XR: 5 Amazing Highlights from May 2024

This May has been an exciting month at Viewport XR. Here are 5 key highlights that we’d like to share:

1. Working with Fortescue in Nullagine

This May, we had the privilege of traveling to Nullagine twice as part of our ongoing collaboration with Fortescue Metals Group.

Experiencing the beauty and majesty of the Pilbara region from the back of a helicopter was truly unforgettable!

2. The Launch of Rondo Measure and Quote

We are excited to announce the launch of the launch of the Rondo Measure and Quote app for iOS and Android, which allows users to accurately measure their surroundings via state-of-the-art AR technology and instantly receive a range of Rondo product cost and application calculations tailored to their needs.

We are immensely proud of our work on this app and look forward to further cutting-edge collaborations with Rondo.

3. Meaningful Spaces VR on Sunrise

Our immersive training simulator, Meaningful Spaces VR, created in partnership with Dementia Training Australia, was showcased on national TV, this time on a segment for Seven Network’s Sunrise.

It’s fantastic to see the attention given to DTA’s work in ensuring better care practices for people living with dementia.

4. Attending the WAGIC Launch Party

This month, we attended the official rebrand launch party of the WA Games Industry Council (WAGIC).

It was inspiring to see so many like-minded gaming and immersive software creatives gathered in one place, marking the beginnings of a thriving and innovative local industry.

5. The Galup VR Experience at the State Library

We’re proud to announce that a showcase of Same Drum‘s Galup VR experience will be held at the State Library of Western Australia on Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, during National Reconciliation Week.

We are deeply honored to have contributed to this immersive production, which highlights a crucial part of WA history.
